The rose has thorns and the hedgehog has spikes, they do not know fear, they cannot be pierced by goosebumps and they cannot shiver. They both want to get rid of their spikes and so they go out into the world to find out how to do it. Meeting one sensitive boy and his music will help them in their plan. The boy needs their spikes. This poetic text is written in verse, and it pays special attention to the play on words. It originates from a project in which the author deals with goosebumps, like in the poetry collection Goosebumps.

Croatian poet Neva Lukić and Serbian poet and playwright Viktor Radonjić are the authors of the play P (j) eščanik (Sandbox) in which language as such becomes a character and subject. Through the story of two lovers, a Serb and a Croat, the authors deal with the problem of linguistic purism that emerged in Croatia during the Homeland War and continued to flourish in the post-war years. In this ingenious and experimental drama, Lukić and Radonjić show how language, as a symbol of a political enemy, suffers from mutilation, how it is destroyed in the name of the supposed noble goals of creating an "authentic" Croatianness.
